Last Day In The South

Last day in the South.  Wow - Never thought this day would come.  I remember vividly the first day when I saw a No-Kidding, Honest-To-Goodness, Wow-This-Is-Really-Happening Confederate Flag flying in a guys yard.  And yes, to further perpetuate the stereotype, it was a single-wide trailer with a busted-up car in the grass and a mangy dog on a chain.

I'm happy to report that the next 8 years were much much better than that first day.

A couple great assignments (with a Sumter stop in the middle), a couple great houses (with a ghetto apartment in the middle) and ultimately a pretty good experience for this Northern girl stuck in the South for 8 years (with a couple trips to the Middle East in the middle).  But you still can't beat the Northwest.  Here's to the South...thanks for the good times, but I'll leave it to the Southerners.

Heres To A Great House!
(We used this fish glass to toast the house when I first moved in...found it in a cupboard as I was moving out)

Thanks House!
(Oh Ya...And thanks Mom for hanging out with the movers while I was at work)

Sniff Sniff.
