No, not the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but if the Grand Canyon is better than this than I am anticipating being extremely impressed...because South Rim of Canyon de Chelly was pretty cool.
We rolled in to Chinle, AZ at about 1500 and rolled out of Chinle, AZ at about 1510. About as much time it takes to pass through two stop lights and to allow a scrawny looking quarter horse to cross the 4-lane hi-way directly in front of us. Luckily the Visitor's Center to Canyon de Chelly was only about 2 minutes down the road. This may not be the Grand Canyon but as one of the longest continuously inhabited locations in North America (most recently by the Navajo), you know you're going to get a good vibe by going here. And besides, its an absolutely amazing showcase of Mother Nature.
