For those who don’t read “Vortexese”, this blog post title
is pronounced “Whooouuueeouuuoooeeeeewhoooo”…like a ghost story plus some
energy stuff plus a lot of money minus the ghost story multiplied by more
energy stuff. That all equals Sedona. You get the picture.
In Sedona there was an ongoing
discussion on whether it replaced Santa Fe as the location for our third house
when we win the Powerball. Unfortunately
it was roughly 8-bajillion degrees outside so there was no hiking on the
multitude of great hiking trails. However, there
was a lot of driving to the trailheads and looking at the great rocks...and then quickly jumping back in the air conditioned vehicle.
OK – So seriously, to explain the “whooouuueeouuuoooeeeeewhoooo”. Apparently, Sedona is the sight of 4 major and 13 to 15 minor (depending on who you talked to) “energy vortexes”. Vortexes are described as whorls of energy emanating from the Earth at the intersection of major ley lines. Ley lines are supposed alignments of geographic and historic interests (ancient monuments, megaliths, etc). These vortexes are believed to be spiritual locations where the energy facilitates prayer, meditation, and healing.
Whether you believe that or not, you can’t be here and not feel good juju emanating from almost everything. It could be the beautiful scenery. Or it could be that I’m in between jobs, still getting a paycheck, and moving to California; while mom is retired and doesn’t have to worry about the raging forest fires all around the southwest.
